The previous time that I took my van to the shop the transmission had failed. I had it towed over from John's Auto Care. The Shop came in at a quote for repair that was 2k under John's. The main differences in cost were in parts. The Shop made it possible for me to keep my vehicle and wasn't artificially inflating the prices like John's. Jason (the owner) and I have been friends for a while and he is extremely thoughtful, skeptical, and careful in life as well as vehicle repair. Fast forward a year, I took my van to The Shop and asked them to make it less of a death trap because I realized that I wanted to go on more adventures with my vanborghini. Cormic hooked me up with a lot of creative solutions to expensive problems that could have been much more draining to my wallet. I was able to take my former deathmobile to Mexico and feel safe knowing that the major issues were handled, as well as others that he convinced me to address, which was a great call in retrospect. The price came in a bit above what we thought it would be originally, but it was fair and now I feel satisfied knowing my van is as good as it can be with 226k miles on it.
Thanks Kirill! It was a rewarding challenge to get your Vanborghini (AKA, '01 GMC Safari) road trip ready. We can't wait to hear all about your journey to Mexico. Safe travels to you, we look forward to seeing you in the future.
